BIOGRAPHY

Michigan Gaan is a music performance and production group focused on non-classical South Asian musical styles (film, folk, etc.). No experience is needed to join nor do you have to be South Asian. Any and all are welcome to join as long as you have a passion for music! If performing is not your thing or you are interested in creating your own music, Gaan gives you a unique chance to gain experience in music production.Gaan meets weekly to gather and hold jam sessions. These are informal gatherings where members can come together and just have some fun. Gaan regularly performs around campus doing various gigs, cultural events, and open mics. This is the perfect opportunity for students to gain experience for playing live.
